Summary
Travel to the cultural heart of China and extend to Vietnam as you will explore two ancient countries' fascinating past. This trip takes you to the ancient capital of China, from Beijing, Luoyang to Xi'an, and Vietnam's cultural Cham ruins at My Son, Hoi An's historic old quarter with its Chinese influenced architecture and the Imperial City of Hue.

Day-by-day Itinerary

Day 01 Arrival, Beijing (No meals)
Arrive in Beijing , your gateway city of China tour. Be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel. With no sightseeing planned, the remainder of the day is spent free at leisure.

Day 02 Beijing(B/L)
Depart from hotel in the morning to visit Tian'anmen Square , the largest urban square and Forbidden City , the largest and most complete ancient imperial palace in the world. Then visit Temple of Heaven in the afternoon. Peking Roasted Duck and Peking Opera are available for your optional dinner and night entertainment.

Day 03 Beijing- - Luoyang (B/L)
In the morning drive 75km to visit the Great Wall (Badaling Section) first and Ming Tombs (Changling Tomb) , the once lavish burial chambers of 13 emperors of the Ming Dynasty. Take an overnight soft-sleeper train to Luoyang .

Day 04 Luoyang (B/L)
Arrive in Luoyang in the morning. Visit Longmen Grottoes -the amazing display of art and craftsmanship and White Horses Temple . Water Feast from the Tang Dynasty is available for your optional dinner.

Day 05 Luoyang- - Xi'an (B/L)
Leave for Xi'an in the morning by soft-seated train. Explore the Ancient City Wall , one of the oldest and best-preserved walls in China as well as the Bell Tower in the afternoon.

Day 06 Xi'an (B/L)
Ample time will be provided for the visits of those famous spots including the Qin Terracotta Army Museum , one of the world's most important archaeological finds with troops, horses and carriages in battle formation and Banpo Neolithic Village Museum . Either Jiaozi Banquet or Tang Dynasty Show with Dinner is available for your optional meal.

Day 07 Xi'an- - Guangzhou (B/L)
In the morning visit the Shaanxi History Museum before being transferred to airport for your flight to Guangzhou in the afternoon.

Day 08 Guangzhou- - Hanoi (B/L)
Have a half-day city tour of Dr. Sun Yat-sen's Memorial Hall and Temple of Family Chen . Take a flight to Hanoi in the afternoon. Upon arrival in Hanoi , our guide will be at the airport to welcome guests and transfer to hotel. The rest of time is at your leisure to adjust yourself to a new country.

Day 09 Hanoi 每 - Hue (B)
Half day city tour of Hanoi before afternoon flight to Hue . Evening at leisure.

Day 10 Hue 每 Danang (B,L)
After breakfast we'll begin with a cruise along the romantic Perfume River , passing opulent palaces and gardens of the 19th century Nguyen kings. We then dine in a fine local restaurant and sample some Hue delicacies. After lunch we transfer to Da Nang 每 this is a spectacular coastal drive along the South China Sea , arriving in Danang late afternoon.

Day 11 Danang 每 My Son day trip(B,L)
After breakfast, we embark on a day trip to My Son, via the Cham Museum board our bus to visit Cham museum before we continue to My Son. Located 60 km . from Danang, My Son is considered to be one of the best-preserved Cham centers in Vietnam , it is also the former capital of the ancient Cham civilization that ruled Central Vietnam from the second to the thirteenth century. Their religion was primarily derived from Indian Hinduism, although as at Angkor Wat the tower structures are dedicated to the former divine Cham monarchs themselves. The complex is comprised of seventy towers and temples. My Son is now one of four World Heritage-listed sites in Vietnam . Afternoon at leisure.

Day 12 Danang - Hoi An(B,L)
After leaving Danang we drive the short distance to the delightful town of Hoi An approximately 30km away. Once in Hoi An we will check into our hotel before embarking on an orientation tour of this ancient trading town. We spend our time walking around the historic town soaking up the atmosphere, exploring the many Chinese assembly halls and fascinating ancestral homes some of which have been occupied by the same family for fifteen generations.

Day 13 Hoi An tailoring and cooking day(B,L)
Enjoy a morning market tour to gather fresh produce for you half day cooking class! Hoi An is a culinary town and you will learn some of its delicious recipes in this half day cooking class. Of course, lunch will be the fruits of your rewards!
After lunch we will take a local sampan down Hoi An river to visit traditional handicraft villages.
Evening at leisure.

Day 14 Departure Hoi An (B)
At your leisure until airport transfer.

Price includes:
  1. Airport/railway station welcome and private transfers between airports/railway stations, hotels and sightseeing spots. Separate arrivals and departures will incur extra charges.
  2. Domestic airfare of economic class or train ticket(s) as mentioned in the itinerary. Airport construction fee and fuel surcharge.
  3. Hotel/Yangtze cruiser accommodation based on two adults sharing one standard twin-bed room/cabin; solo travelers or those who want to occupy one twin-bed room/cabin of their own are required to pay additional charge of single supplement rate (S.SUPP in above price table). A single room/cabin is subject to availability based on prior request at an additional cost; if the recommended hotel is not available, it will be substituted by a similar one.
  4. Meals as specified in the itinerary table marked with B/L/D (breakfast in hotel).
  5. Driver and English-speaking guide service on normal sightseeing activities noted in the itinerary.
  6. All entrance fees to scenic spots as shown in the itinerary. The final arrangement will be determined by local tour guides based on the local circumstances which are beyond the control of TopChinaTravel. TCT will adhere to the original itinerary as accurately as possible.
  7. Travel insurance.

  1. Round way International airfare or train tickets, unless otherwise noted.
  2. Visa fee, passport application or renewal fee.
  3. Tips for guides, escort, drives, bellman, etc.
  4. Personal expenses such as excess luggage fees, laundry, postage, communications and beverages.
  5. Optional meals and shows mentioned in the itinerary, which will be added up if the clients desire to take the activities.
  6. Any other changes caused by natural disasters, fires, weather, governmental and local authority orders, political change, strikes, war, riots, quarantine, custom regulations, damages or injury caused by accident beyond the control of TopChinaTravel and that has incurred due to the tourist action violating the laws.
